Thing 14 – Web Tools

I had sooooo much fun exploring the various tools that I ended up looking at ALL OF THEM. I intend to check many of them out in more detail when I have more time.

The JigZone puzzles really took my time and interest. I think it would be an excellent addition to a class wiki , especially when the picture is relating to what is being studied at the time.

I would love to be able to use LetterPop to develop a quarterly class newsletter about various activities during the year. Last year, at Halloween, we had a costume day where the students came up with some very creative ideas to dress up their instruments. This would be a good forum for them to present this to their parents.

30 Boxes would be good to add to a website or blog so students and parents would know what is happening and any future events.

Quizlet looks like something I could use to develop a way for students to quiz themselves on musical terms, history…etc.
